2010 Oklahoma Wildlife Expo
Time: 8:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
From the Oklahoma Wildlife Expo Press Release: "Over 100 hands-on interactive exhibits, seminars, clinics, workshops and demonstrations will be featured. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience just about every aspect of outdoor recreation available in Oklahoma. With the assistance of the Rogers County Conservation District and the Oklahoma Conservation Commission, the Wildlife EXPO will again include an area designed for kids of all ages. This year attendees will have the opportunity to discover Wildlife Beneath Your Feet. Kids will trek thru an underground ecosystem, discover where soil critters live, explore in a pile of compost, paint with Oklahoma soils, investigate a mysterious set of tracks, and identify skins and skulls of several soil critters." Eco-Encouraging Conservationin Oklahoma!ECO is a Green Certification and educational program in Oklahoma for hotels, lodges, B&B’s, restaurants, events and attractions. Come learn about workshops, resources, travle tips and more from Jessica Blackstock. Jessica, the ECO cordinator, will share about ECO and other "eco" activities across the state.National Media is already talking about ECO! First Thursdays with Sustainable Tulsa are a chance for you to meet and greet with your community and learn about what sustainability projects are happening in your back yard-come learn and share! Sustainable Tulsa promotes responsible economic growth, environmental stewardship, and quality of life for all. The Tulsa community needs you to make Tulsa a more livable and lovable place to live, work and play.
