Find Your Legislator

It’s important to let your legislators know where you stand on issues you care about because the number of phone calls, e-mails or letters on each side of an issue will frequently influence how a legislator will vote on a bill.  Grassroots lobbying is very effective because the legislators are hearing directly from their constituency – the folks who will be voting the next time the legislator is up for re-election.  Let your elected officials know that sustainability is important to you!

www.tulsacouncil.org. This is the main portal for information about Tulsa City Council. Tulsa is divided into 9 city districts. If you know your district number, go to this site and click on the drop down menu under councilors, choose your district number, and you’ll be linked to the name, bio and contact information for your district’s councilmember.  If you don’t know your district number, go to the same site, but find the link on the left that reads Looking for City Council District? Clicking on that link will direct you to the City of Tulsa’s website where you can enter your address and be provided with your distract number and a link back to the city council webpage.

www.capitolconnect.com/oklahoma. Use this link to easily find your Federal and State legislators. Type in your address and click submits for the name and contact information for both US and State senators and representatives.
